A four-lane road in Telangana connecting the North and South of the country, the project covers 31 km of NH44. NHAI awarded the project on a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) – Annuity basis in May 2007.

The 48.76-km Shillong Bypass runs from Umiam to Mawryngkneng in Meghalaya, connecting NH40 and NH44. Designed as an annuity project, it significantly reduces congestion in Shillong city while improving regional and interstate connectivity across the northeast.

 

*Concession period ended on February 06, 2026 and the project is under process of handover to National Highways Authority of India, in accordance with the terms of the Concession Agreement.
